The Salvation Army's River and Wind Challenge is a bike ride on the Great Allegheny passage. The GAP is one of America's best bike trails, where you will discover a nearly level trail along winding rivers, shaded valleys, traditional small towns, bridges, and windmills. Riders can choose between a 62 or 22 mile ride. The 62 mile ride is a round trip from Confluence to Meyersdale. This ride will test your endurance and your will power. The 22 mile ride is a round trip from Confluence to Ohiopyle. All participants will be provided meals, fresh fruits, snacks, and refreshments along the route. We also offer a great t-shirt and an award for those that finish the ride. The purpose of this ride is to raise funds for The Salvation Army-Somerset Service Center.
