2014 Schedule

  • Women’s Home League
Women's Home League Tuesdays at Noon - Inaugurated in 1907, ia fellowship group designed to influence women in the creation and development of Christian standards in personal home life. Its motto is from the Bible: "I will live a pure life in my house" (Psalm 101:2b, Good News Bible). While the Home League's demographic profile has been altered by modern lifestyles in Western countries, as more and more women have entered the work force on a full-time basis, the groups continue to provide community and a sense of belonging to many women in many countries. Meetings are themed according to a four-fold purpose of Worship, Service, Fellowship, and Education.

  •
  • The Men’s Fellowship Club
Tuesdays 6:30 pm – program offers an opportunity for building friendships, participate in Christian fellowship and develop a spirit of camaraderie. Members are encouraged to take in interest in their communities with club service projects and the humanitarian efforts of The Salvation Army and other community organizations.

CORPS HIGHLIGHTS

Ark Program Completes Mentor Program

The Salvation Army Ark Program recently completed the Mentor Group for the school year. Three mentors completed 48 hours of community service. Four elementary students received recognition for outstanding attendance. Each student who participated received a certificate, and a photo. Each mentor received a mug designed by their “little buddy” from the program. Special thanks to Theresa Stitt and the Penn State nutritionist.

“It was a good last day.  A little emotional for some of them, but they are looking forward to next year.  We had a pizza party and snacks and then played two favorite end of the year games...rainbow tag and dodgeball.  We will have five mentors returning, along with the mentors we recruited for this school year.” Statement from Theresa Stitt.
