This center serves the following communities:   Adah, Allison, Brownsville, Cardale, Chestnut Ridge, East Millsboro, Fairbanks, Fairchance, Gans, Gates, Grindstone, Hibbs, Hiller, Isabelle, Keisterville, LaBelle, Lake Lynn, Leckrone, Martin, Masontown, Maxwell, McClellandtown, Merrittstown, Newell, New Geneva, New Salem, Point Marion, Republic, Ronco, Smithfield, Smock, Uledi, Waltersburg, and West Brownsville.


Social Services

Programs to help meet the basic needs of daily life for those unable to meet those needs without assistance.  Programs include utility assistance, emergency food, budget establishing, rental assistance (does not include security deposit or first months’ rent) and winter heating assistance as budget permits. A food pantry for those working in the daytime is hosted monthly. We also work with other agencies and referrals.  Please call 724-583-9603 and request an appointment or for more information.

Distribution of backpacks, school supplies and school clothing (if budget permits)

For families struggling to have food to eat for holiday meals (if budget permits)

Project Bundle Up

Winter coat, hat and gloves for children ages newborn to age 17 and for seniors over the age of 65.   Applications taken in September to early October.   Please call 724-583-9603 to set up an appointment.  (if budget permits)

Treasures For Children 

Christmas program with both sponsors and recipients.   Sponsors purchase new items for a child from a wish list created by parent or guardian.     Registration is by appointment only during months of October and November. 

Distribution is a few days before Christmas.

Red Kettle Program 

Salvation Army’s major fundraising event that occurs between Thanksgiving and Christmas.   Money collected during this time is how all programs above are provided.

Bell Ringers

Volunteer bell ringers both individual, businesses and organizations are always in need to help staff the kettles during our Red Kettle Program.   Kettle locations are in Fairchance, Masontown, Point Marion and West Brownsville.   Collection days vary by location.  Please call 724-583-9603 to volunteer! We are always looking for business, organizations or individuals to volunteer!
