We want to ensure everyone feels the special magic that is the Holiday season.
That's why The Salvation Army provides thousands of children and individuals with Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners, winter coats, clothing, toys and gifts.
Through our Project Bundle-Up, Treasures for Children, Sheetz For the Kids, and Adopt-a-Family programs, generous people like you can actively participate and make someone's holiday better. Each holiday season, thousands of people through Western Pennsylvania donate gift and clothing items that we then can share with children and families in need.
In addition, many clients receive financial assistance to help them meet basic needs, such as vouchers for utilities, rent and grocery store/food pantry items.
We also want to touch those who may be feeling alone during the holidays. Our volunteers visit hospital patients and nursing home residents to bring them some Christmas cheer, gifts, and fellowship. We make sure to visit with families who have members incarcerated in correctional facilities, so they too know how much God loves them.
Through all our efforts, The Salvation Army endeavors to bring spiritual light and love to those it serves at Christmas so that the real meaning of the season is remembered.
Since 1986, project Bundle-Up has raised $15 million and provided new winter outwear to over 280,000 children and senior citizens in low income households across Western PA.
