Eddy Homes Provides Lunch for Families in Need during COVID-19

PITTSBURGH, PA (May 5, 2020) – When Eddy Homes, Inc., a local homebuilder, heard that families at the Salvation Army Family Caring Center were in need during the COVID-19 pandemic, they were eager to provide support.

Working with a local restaurant and catering company, Bistro-to-go, Eddy Homes provided a delicious lunch of teriyaki chicken, rice, salad, and cookies for all residents at the Center on Tuesday, May 5 – Giving Tuesday – a day where many across the nation would come together for a special day of kindness.

“We wanted to provide support to local families going through difficult times,” said a member of the Eddy Homes Team. “The story of those at Salvation Army’s Family Caring Center touched our hearts here at Eddy Homes, and it was just something we needed to do.”

Eddy Homes has been building homes in the Greater Pittsburgh area since 1971.

“We’re a family company that is committed to treating our homeowners like family as well,” said a member of the Eddy Homes Team. “And as a family business, the Family Caring Center felt like the perfect place for us to provide support.”
